The Significance of Superman's Death in the DCEU.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters mentioned in this text. With 'Aquaman' on the horizon, and a previous 'era' of DC films is now over I felt like writing about something I've had on my mind for a long time now. In the second film in what is called the DC Extended Universe, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', Superman had been killed by the monster Doomsday. Needless to say this was met with no small amount of backlash from fans who thought it was either too early for any form of adaptation of the legendary 'Death of Superman' or that the death and subsequent resurrection was done with no substance.
